Hello, happy new year to everyone - looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks' time.
My few minutes of madness in Edinburgh was about Scrivener, which I'm still using. It's been good to see my use of it develop as I progress with different projects - from notes to drafts and on to work that is ready to be distributed and read by others. I still heartily recommend you give it a go, there's a free 30 day trial for Mac and Windows (and the days don't have to be sequential).
I've also been getting to know Sente as a potential reference and citation manager. I'm still on the trial at the moment, but it seems to be working ok. It's Mac only and at least the developers talk about Scrivener in their support materials, you'd think it didn't exist to look some other reference managers. Over time I'll get to know its idiosyncrasies, but so far so good.
I'd be very happy to discuss this with anyone who uses either already and can roll out a sales pitch if you're keen to know more.
